Product Description:

Add rustic charm to your kitchen with this Portuguese terracotta baking dish, beautifully hand-painted with unique floral designs. Made in Portugal and crafted from lead- and cadmium-free clay, it's perfect for preparing and serving traditional dishes like bacalhau, roast meats, or baked vegetables. Each piece is one of a kind—both functional and decorative.

Care & Use Instructions:

Before first use, wash with warm water (no soap) and soak in lukewarm water for 4 hours or overnight. Use while still slightly damp to help relieve stress in the clay.

For stovetop use, always start with low heat and gradually increase. A heat diffuser is recommended for even heating and to avoid cracking. For oven use, place in a cold oven and allow to heat gradually. After cooking, let it cool on a towel or potholder—never on a cold surface.

Hand wash only with warm water. Dry thoroughly and store in a ventilated space.

Important Tips:

  • Not for use on electric or glass stovetops. Safe for gas stoves, ovens, and wood-burning ovens.

  • Avoid thermal shock (e.g., adding cold liquids to a hot dish).

  • Terracotta becomes more seasoned and effective with continued use.
